In but a few short days a moderate manor house is constructed on the lands occupied by Master Witton. There seems to be much being built on the 20 acres claimed by this group. As you walk by workers are busy fencing in the land and preparing to build another building.
From the outside of the magically warded manor there is little to be seen within...
The manor is finely crafted of wood with metal accents on a fine stone foundation.

Some barbarians can't remember who Master Witton is. Is he the drunk?

A Dwarven worker looks up at the confused barbarian.
"Be mindful of what ye say bout Master Witton, for he might take to the spirits a time and again, his minds like a vise to them insults he suffers afor he reclaims his title"
With that the worker returns his attention to the sturdy wooden fence he is constructing.

As the days drift by more and more work is completed on the farm. It is clear now that the fence is going to be around the entire 20 acre lot chosen by Master Wittons group. Two Dwarven workers are setting a foundation for the second building to be placed.
"Can you believe what they are paying for this job?" "I kno dis be the most i seen in more din a year." "I don't know who they are that hired us but I'm sure glad they did" "i wud say les get a mug but der aint no tavern ere yet, and me stomak stil du in flips from dat way of get in here." "I have never traveled through a shimmering magical thing like that before either"

After another week has passed the work is now complete. There now stands two buildings on the Witton land one the manor house and the second is a large barn. Both have been magically protected as well as finely crafted. A fine and sturdy fence surrounds the land.
As for the dwarven workers they have vanished from the land as quickly as they arrived.

Cattle can be seen from time to time grazing in the fenced in area of the Master Witton Mannor.

A small plot is claimed in the southwestern corner of the burgeoning town. Roughly two and a half acres are marked off by four stone piles. Two more stone piles, roughly a foot or so in height, stand facing the center of the town. On the left pile is hung a crudely painted wood sign. On the land, not far from the ersatz gate, are a small tent and the beginning of a wattle and daub hut.

People can hear him saying something about a trading post and some mead wolfspirit is seen searching the area for any sign of the Dwarven workers that were there before.

"Mead, Mead, Wheres the Mead?"
Looking then to wolfspirit
"I havn't seen a mead in more din two month three mugs to start."

The tent has been relocated inside the walls of the waddle hut, which now reach close to shoulder height. A small trench, maybe half a foot wide and deep, mark the perimeter of the small lot.

It's a sad state of affairs when a Dwarf is harder to understand than a Barbarian.

The walls of the waddle hut now appear to be finished and the beginnings of a thatch roof are evident.
The trench bordering the lot is slightly deeper, almost 2 feet in total. What dirt and rock had been dug from here is piled into a loose earth work wall along its interior. There is a small gap, roughly a yard wide, between the two gate markers.
Inside the berm is the start of another ditch. The dirt from this project is piled behind the waddle hut. Nearby is a square, almost 12 feet a side, is marked out with ropes and pegs.

Magros sifts his fingers through the earthen wall that the half-ogre has so laboriously begun to construct. The junior Wolf Tribe member's own four acres are still as yet undeveloped, though marked off in true wolf fashion with Magros's scent. The "barbarian" laughs to himself at something and scratches himself before moving on, calling back over his incredibly awesome shoulder,
Well done, Fundi. The Earth is indeed with you. Your library is really coming along.
Instead of returning to his own land, Magros goes over to where Trelane was with Trelane's Emporium to see whether the mustachioed crossbow-wielder has anything new to sell and searches the area for Azri the Blue, the gypsy earth scholar.

Azre and Apoc are approaching what few villagers are left in the dust patch known as Shallowford. Work for those that interested.

Atempting to assist Apoc with convincing the locals that helping us is in there best interest, Azre notices Magros heading his way....
" Well met good wolf shaman how fair you this day? "

Gathering up the supplies he has put together for this endeavor, he scans the area. Not sure if anyone is in earshot, Apoc shouts
"We are going to the edge of the woods just south of here to gather lumber. I've made several axes. If anyone is interested, that's where we'll be."
Companion in tow, Apoc walks off.

Wincing at Apoc's shout Azre rolls his eyes and heads off towards the woods...calling back
" If no one heads are call , then we will gather enough wood for are own land and begin forming a new dwelling , I'd be pleased to open an apothecary along side your forge. Maybe not directly along it for that might result in a few Expody Rocks as are new friend Fundi is so apt to say."
Laughing Azre selects a good sized tree and hefts his ax wondering what his fellow townsfolk are up too this bright day.

Apoc frowns at Azre as they labor. After a short while, he puts down his axe and walks over to his ally.
"Friend, I find you demeanor a bit unsettling. Not the words per say, but the fact that they came out in your voice, and not mine. I must admit, albeit grudgingly, you have been an influence on me over the years. Our friendship should remain one sided in that respect. Don't let my frustrations become yours. I intend to gather as much wood as is needed by ourselves AND our neighbors, if need be. Your kindness is my example for these actions."
