Pondering Apoc's words Azre remains quiet for a moment or two ...
Your words ring true old friend ... I must admit that I'm a bit overwhelmed by this new land and its ways ... But your faith reminds me of all our past challenges and gives me the confidants that we will prosper here. With the grace and luck of the stars we will defend this land and with our new friends and allies build a new and wondrous city.
Sprit and will renewed Azre returns to work invigorated.

Realizing that the woods he had in mind are in fact quite far away, Apoc and Azre headed north to a small grove Aka four trees. Making quick work of the first tree, the duo stare blankly at the tree, the big heavy tree.
"You know, I had hoped others would have joined us, if only for the extra muscle. It's going to take atleast the rest of the day to drag just this one back to our camp. If I had brought my tools I could fashion this tree into a cart or sled."
Apoc takes his axe and tapers off the bottom section of the base of the tree. The tip of the tree is cut into a few rounded logs. He then winds a rope around the trunk base, ties off a loop at each end. All the while Azre gathers up the trimmed off branches, ties them into bundles, and attaches them onto the tree itself.
"Azre would you be so kind as to feed the log from the back to the front as we go?.
His mind already back in Shallowford, his body, tree in tow, labors to catch up.

Azre glances at the sun as he works along side Apoc ... Hoping to reach Shallowford before the sun fades... He ponders out loud...
"Long days and hard work will be are companions for some time old friend, but i trust your skills will see us well... Is there more I can do to assist? My talents may not lie in hard labor ,not that I'm opposed to it ( laughing) but maybe I can be of some greater help..."
Huffing with his effort Azre waits for his friends reply.

"I'll be needing a pair of mules, or any two beasts of burden for that matter. That'll require a trip to Southfort, but I must remain in Shallowford to build a cart for transporting lumber and guarding our new home. Look, I have my goals. I can't stand to watch these people go hungry. I can't stand to watch them go thirsty. I can't stand the sight of them sleeping on the dirt. It saddens me to the brink of rage, and I can't stand feeling that way. There are so many dangers in this land that need to be addressed, but not before food, shelter, and water. Some look at this land and see opportunity. All I see is imminent doom. Others speak of taverns and inns. Fundi want's to build a library. I seem to lack the ability to dream of things like that, so I want to see their dreams come true. I doubt Witton has such lofty goals... but I can't put him down. Atleast he's made progress. His people are well fed. They have roofs over their heads and water to drink... You must have goals of your own. I'm sure you'd prefer to be testing out an elixir or tonic rather than helping me drag a tree across the country side. What do you dream of?"
After briefly contemplating inventing the "soap box" just so he can get off of it, he refocuses his efforts to pick up speed.
"We can discuss this at greater length once we get back to Shallowford. Please share your thoughts, but I'll be saving my breath for the tree."

Mirth and good humor fill Azres words as he replies...
" Those are the worlds of a true noble, kind and without a though of self.... Truly noble....
Azre pauses for a moment glaring at Apoc in mock discord...
"Who are you and what have to done with my surly friend?
A moment more Azre erupts with laughter ....
"I dream of many things old friend but in this moment merely cold drink hot food and a soft bed, soon to be mine I think as I believe Shallowford to be just around the bend."

"Dwarf! Fellow craftsman?! We're leaving to Southfort and if you don't come with us you'll miss out on the first round of mead."

All of Shallowford is now abuzz as it celebrates the opening of its pride, the elegant Jewel of Akliceum, the splendorous halls of knowledge that set this small town pre-eminent on every map, the athenaeum known simply as "De Libarry."
Inside the majestic building of mud and stick can be found all the learnings, poetics, musings and histories deemed noteworthy and respectable.
Standing proud just inside its great doorway is the curator, a half-ogre, more mountain than man, known humbly as Fundi the Magnificent.
The small waddle and daub hut is now finished and its ramshackle door lays open, hinged with simple twine. In the entrance stands a gaudily garbed half-ogre holding a stuffed pig. Through the opening can be seen four or five books and several colorful scrolls set on a small box. A few cushions ornament the floor of the one room structure, as do various taxidermied creatures of various type and size.
