Hello all!
First I would like to thank all of you for your participation on the in-game boards. Looks like the stories are starting to fly, and before we go further I'd like to speak a bit on HOW to post on the in-game message boards.
It looks like you all already have the idea. You can post in story or first person form, and it can be a long descriptive post, or a short conversational post from your character.
You are welcome to post as your character, but not as any established NPC. If you would like to write a longer narrative or anything that includes another NPC, let us know beforehand and we'll approve you including any NPC's you'd like, once you fill us in beforehand.
Please keep in mind that if you also speak for other PC's, that's ok with their permission! Otherwise, leave your post open ended, so they may respond.
You may post on any board, including the main board for the rest of the kingdom. Any stories you post there may/should impact plot overall. For example, if you begin to speak about a legend once heard in a tavern about how the mountains in the north were created, you just may have introduced plot that will head your way next game!
Please respond with any questions you may have!

Whose to say that seperate posts don't represent seperate days? It seems awfully limited to be restricted to one topic, especialyl considering how that often represents your characters actions between events.

Some good points!
The best solution is to not define a specific time for your character to be located in any one place. For example, if Jean Rowen is conversing with Anya in the tavern and Illiden in the woods, do not define a specific time for yourselves. However, if plot posts a message about an Akliceium independence day celebration in Lochling which you post that your character is attending, you can not also post you are in Soldrien on a different thread.
Traditionally, we have treated posts as occuring when you post them, howver this is not always the case and Plot will not limit these boards as such. It's difficult to dio this as real time goes by fairly quickly and real life allows for recreational posting only. Simply because a conversation is posted between two PC's, real time, over the course of a week doesn't mean the PC's spent a week chatting.
The main point here is to be careful, and add a description to your post to indicate it is a different day or a different time of day. This will make it easiest for all to understand your character is not in two places at once.
Is this helpful?

I tend to use phrases like, "later that day" "several hours later" "three days had pasted since". also keep in mind if your moving through and you can start a new thread. EX: anya went from looking for supplies in one thread to hvng conversations in the tavern in A freind indeed. So as your Character moves into dif activities it can be a new thread.

please feel free to start a new "thread"...if your char has gone off to the libraries as an example, you can satart a new thread concerning that or if your charactet is hvng a "private meeting" you can satart a thread baed on that, any questions?

Can I add another suggestion? Try not to give actions to other characters in the same thread if they are not yours. You might think you know how that character would react, but that isn't always the case.

It would be very easy to get into NPC arguments and things of that nature on the boards as they stand now, so I have a question about this. when you approve of an NPC, do you then post, or is it acceptable that we post for you?
